SD-WAN Connections
Depending on region, location of a building, or wiring to that building – internet speeds may be capped due to what can be provided over the lines by different providers. For a lot of businesses, it is cost-prohibitive to pay thousands of dollars, out of pocket, to run new lines to or through their building to achieve faster speeds. Because businesses rely on the internet now, more than ever, to be able to service their customers – having a fast, reliable, internet connection is paramount to both business productivity and growth.
Increased connection speed and better redundancy.
SD-WAN
Through an SD-WAN connection, internet speed can be increased (as well as redundancy provided) by incorporating multiple connections in to a single connection. At Uniserve, we have the ability to not only provide Fibre, DSL, Cable, and LTE connections, but through providing an SD-WAN connection those can be combined so that the connection throughput is greater, meaning faster speeds, but also more secure – and should anything happen to any of the connections, there is also a failover/fallback.
Failover
A failover connection is multiple internet connections to a single location so that in the event a single connection goes down (fails) the remaining connections will keep the internet connection active. This is best done via different types of connections, such as a Cable connection and a DSL connection. As these two connection types don’t run on the same infrastructure outside of the location, there is a much less likely chance of failure due to having issues at the source.
